CLASSIC RE-BOOT
PRODUCTION IN PRINTING

The idea of the design is to mimic the theory or emotion of the protagonist in the text excerpt. From Crime and Punishment.

We have the protagonist murdering the pawnbroker in Petersburg Russia. But it’s not about the location but the feverish way the protagonist is pursuing to great depths to make his mark on the world, he thinks by becoming Napoleon he will achieve the hero and status of Napoleon.

But instead, he is delusional, he thinks that he is unseen when he murders the old woman. The dialogue between him and the woman Natashia is somewhat abstract and emotional. I want the design direction to portray that emotion, of loud yelling, the strange circumstance—the twirling thoughts of the protagonist.

The gold foiling on the front cover of the encasing presentation folder represents the grandiose delusions.

The electric colours represent the delusions,

The indigo Blue represents the confidence of his delusions.

The crimson-purple colour represents royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. All of which the protagonist thinks he is abundant.

The silver pink represents wealth and success and is better known as a noble metal. The feeling of Delusions of grandeur is what the excerpt is all about.

To finalize the  Classic reboot, the viewer must feel the rush when the encasing is open, the rush of the dialogue that's in the booklet. The colours of the elements are unified within the booklet.
